Nursing Licensure Preparation Program
This professional preparation program provides comprehensive training for foreign trained health care providers who are currently licensed as practicing registered nurses in another country. The program develops a level of content mastery in students so students can be successful in writing the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination [CRNE].
The licensure preparation program takes a three-fold approach:
- to build the student’s strength in content knowledge, understanding, application, critical thinking and the affective domains of nursing practice in Canada
- to provide English language training so students are prepared to write the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses [CELBAN]
- to practice CRNE questions
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- TOEFL 550 or equivalent, or Registration in a recognized ESL training program
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a CRNBC or CLPNBC approved institution
- Must be currently registered as an RN in good standing in country of origin
- Must have proof of working 1125 hours in nursing within the last 3.5 years
- Clean Criminal Record
